Everything in the Universe is made of energy that vibrates at different frequencies. This also applies to us humans. And every day we raise or lower our vibration, all depending on our mood, thoughts and actions! While many habits will help raise your vibration, many toxic habits will lower it. That’s why it’s so important to become aware of your daily patterns, because you’re probably not even aware that those unhealthy habits continue to lower your vibration day after day.
In this post you will find 10 negative things that lower your vibrational frequency. And if you want to raise your vibration, I recommend reading my blog about grounding techniques.
Signs of a Low Vibration
A person vibrating at a low frequency is in a negative head and emotional space. Signs of a person with a low vibration include:
- Moody, including feeling depressed and anxious
- Uncertainty and fear
- Very emotional
- Respond quickly with anger
- Not being grounded
- Physical pains
- Fatigue and low energy
- Ungrateful
- Little self-care
- Feelings of always being the victim
On the other hand, signs of a person with a high vibrational frequency are positivity, happiness, inner peace, energy and good health!
Ten Negative Things That Lower Your Vibration Frequency
Below are ten toxic things to avoid as best you can if you want to raise your vibration!
Specific Environments: Your environment can raise or lower your vibration. It could be specific places, certain people or your environment that continues to lower your vibration. Pay attention to how you feel when you are in different environments, and avoid environments that drain your energy and lower your mood.
Watching the News and Violent TV: What you watch on TV has a huge impact on your vibration level. It can make you scared and stressed, which are all low vibrations. This is especially true when watching the news and violent TV shows or movies. That’s because the news focuses mainly on negative events, and consuming all that negativity will lower your vibration.
Stress: When you feel stressed or anxious, you vibrate at a lower frequency. You are not in the present and are ungrounded. When you find yourself in those situations, it’s important to ground yourself. Check out my previous blog to learn how to raise your vibration with grounding techniques.
Not Getting Enough Sleep: We all know how important sleep is. Just think about the last time you didn’t sleep too much. You probably didn’t have too much energy, and all you wanted to do was lie down and get some much-needed sleep. Not to mention that lack of sleep affects your thinking and motor skills. All in all, not enough sleep will lower your vibration.
Negative People and Thinking: Negativity is an important low vibration level. This applies to both having a negative mindset and spending time with negative people. Both will drain your energy and leave you feeling low and unmotivated. Become aware of your thoughts. Do you usually complain a lot and generally have a negative outlook on life? And what about the people you spend time with, how do they feel?
Overthinking: When we think too much, we get caught up in our thoughts and can jump to conclusions. It can make you stressed, ungrounded, anxious, or even paranoid. These are all low vibration emotions that you want to avoid! Learn to let go of the past and trust that everything will turn out exactly as it should.
Processed Foods: The energy you consume from food has a huge impact on your vibration level. Foods that lower your vibration include meat and animal products, processed and fried foods. In short, everything that does not come from plants. It’s so important to eat foods that make you feel good and raise your vibration. Think of food as your fuel by choosing nutritious, whole, plant-based foods. A good tip is to become aware of your eating habits and how food makes you feel. Start by paying attention to how you feel after a meal. The food you eat should give you energy and a good feeling!
Overthinking: Spending too much time on social media can negatively impact your vibrational frequency. However, it also depends on the type of content you usually watch. Be aware of what you look at on social media and how it makes you feel. Much of what you see online is a false reality that results in envy, jealousy, fear, sadness, etc. So, if social media content makes you feel bad, avoid it!
Judging and Criticizing Others: Judging and criticizing others is a form of psychic projection. It is your ego trying to make yourself feel better about an unwanted trait or feeling. And every time you judge or criticize someone, you lower your vibrational frequency because it comes from a negative space. To overcome this, you need to work on building your self-confidence and loving yourself. Because when you’re confident, you don’t have to project your insecurities onto others!
Work on removing the negative things from your life that aren’t making you feel good, and you’re guaranteed to raise your vibration while feeling your absolute best.
